The TFT AirDry is designed with advanced features to ensure optimal performance, safety, and efficiency in various industrial environments.
The dehumidifier’s structure is made from durable materials such as galvanized steel and AISI_304 steel. The top panel of the unit can be removed for easy access during maintenance of electrical components and other internal mechanical parts. Connections for the dehumidifier can be made with standard spiral ducts, ensuring flexibility during installation.
The dehumidifier is equipped with fans that are directly coupled to either single-phase or three-phase motors, rated at IP55, ISO F, class B. These fans are accessible for maintenance through the top panel and start the dehumidification process immediately upon operation. Both the process and regeneration fans work in tandem to ensure effective dehumidification.
The rotor is a key component for the adsorption process. It is made of a desiccant material with a honeycomb structure formed from corrugated, heat-resistant sheets. The rotor contains silica gel, which provides a high absorption surface area in a compact volume. It is designed to withstand saturated air without sustaining damage. Even if the process or regeneration fan stops due to failure, the rotor remains intact. Additionally, the rotor is non-combustible and non-flammable, ensuring safety during operation.
The rotor is rotated using a belt drive system that operates between 6 and 12 revolutions per hour (rph). The direct drive motor and reduction gearbox provide efficient movement through frictional contact with the outer rim of the rotor. A belt tensioning system is used to maintain the correct belt tension and prevent slippage. The rotor’s rotation is visible by removing the front access panel, allowing for easy monitoring of its operation. The rotor is suspended on ball bearings attached to a central steel shaft.
TFT AirDry Dehumidifiers can be supplied with various types of regeneration air heating coils, according to the utilities available on site. The two most commonly used options are electric and steam-based systems:
Additionally, we can offer hybrid configurations combining steam and electric sources, as well as systems utilizing gas or hot water.
The dehumidifier has two separate G4 filters: one located on the process air inlet and one located on the high temperature regeneration air inlet. On request, higher grade filters can be supplied. These filters help maintain the efficiency of the system by preventing dust and debris from entering the airflow.
All standard units from model AD1000 and above are provided with PLC control. The PLC controls the following functions:
The user interface display can be installed remotely for convenience. The PLC is set for heater control from an external humidistat. Upon request, it can be adapted for connection to remote BMS systems.
If required by your process, compatibility with various MODBUS protocols can be discussed with our technical department.
The electrical panel is made in compliance with European Directives 73/23 and 89/336. Access to the electrical panel is from the top, after removal of the cover. All units include the following components as standard:
The panel is also equipped with a terminal block with clean contacts for remote ON-OFF control and clean contact for general alarm.
